St Edburg's CE Primary School

All are valued, all are loved

Anti- Bullying Area

At St Edburg’s CE Primary School ‘all are valued, all are loved’.

We are committed to working with children, staff, governors and parents/ carers to create a school environment where similarities are identified and celebrated, difference is valued and nurtured, and bullying, harassment and violence are never tolerated.
St Edburg’s CE Primary School is a caring, safe place where everyone is equal. In our school, we help each other to be the best that we can be. Everyone at St Edburg’s CE Primary School should be treated with respect and kindness. Bullying behaviour of any kind is unacceptable and will never be tolerated at our school. We actively encourage every child to embrace and live by the Christian values of love, kindness, forgiveness, respect and compassion.
We have a team of KS2 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors who have been trained by the Anti-Bullying Alliance to recognise and help others who might be experiencing bullying behaviour. They aim to stop bullying behaviour by raising awareness of what it is, and how to spot someone who needs help.. They help promote a culture of tolerance and respect in our school and encourage positive behaviour. If you see someone who you think might be experiencing bullying behaviour, our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors can help you to talk to a trusted adult.
But, what is bullying behaviour?
Please watch our video, created by our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, to find out more.

We celebrated Anti-Bullying Week in November to raise awareness and increase understanding of what bullying behaviour looks like, and how to deal with it. Each class thought about what a respectful friendship is, and what a respectful friendship is not. Then, we created friendship charters to display all around school.
